AEROSMITH Bassist Talks To MAGIC 106.7 About 'Banned In Boston' Event; Audio Available

AEROSMITH bassist Tom Hamilton will be "Banned In Boston" again tonight (Wednesday, April 29),when he will put his best dress on for charity at the new House of Blues on Lansdowne Street. Hamilton will be in costume at the 14th annual "Banned In Boston" charity event, which raises money for Urban Improv, a theater-based violence prevention program.

Hamilton spoke to the Magic 106.7 radio station on Tuesday (April 28) about his participation in the "Banned in Boston" event. Listen to the chat at this location.

Hamilton has participated in the antics-driven comedic musical review several times before, including gigs as Barbara Bush, Camilla Parker Bowles, Laura Bush and Martha Stewart.

"Banned in Boston" is a benefit for Urban Improv, the nationally-acclaimed youth program that uses interactive, improvisational theater to promote positive youth development as a catalyst for violence prevention and social change. The program provides young people a realistic and compelling forum to engage in self-exploration, practice self-expression and critical decision-making. Urban Improv confronts issues like violence, racism, bullying, homophobia, and drugs - all of which can be a stark part of today’s reality for young people everywhere.

"Banned in Boston" is the one night a year when Boston lets go of its conservative image and has a good laugh at itself. The funds raised through "Banned in Boston" will make Urban Improv workshops and programs a reality for 7,000 students in Boston and throughout the region in the coming year.
